About Tottington Centre

The Tottington Centre is a warm, accessible and welcoming environment for adults and children alike. It is a place where you can read a newspaper, chat with friends, use the computers, change your books, join an activity session, have a snack or a drink, and also, for those who would like to, volunteer your services.

Joining the library

Everyone, of any age, can join the library. It is FREE for all children and there is a voluntary donation of £2.50 for adults to cover administration costs. Bring proof of ID such as Driving License, Passport or Utility Bill.

You can borrow 6 books for 3 weeks at a time.

Library Volunteers

Our wonderful volunteer Library Team is made up of:

Also, for those team members with an creative flare, creating themed displays, working on library decor and keeping the notice boards updated and looking attractive. We need you!

Activities Team – maybe you have a flare for under 5’s storytime, under 5’s activities, after school crafts or holiday fun. Maybe you want to run a reading group, an adult craft group or a games club etc. You will bring the library alive and generate some income for the Tottington Centre! It’s all about community. Your community. We need you!

Fundraising Team – maybe you love to plan things, enjoy a quiz night, have lots great ideas and like to get stuck in. We need lots of help raising money and organising events. The Tottington Centre needs £22,000 per year to stay open. We need you!

The talents of all our volunteers are highly valued! We are all different and we all bring our own talents and strengths. New volunteers always welcome!
