Pre-school Storytime, Crafts & Play

Pre-school Storytime, Crafts & Play

You are never too young to join Tottington Library or to join in with our pre-school activities, stories and playtime.

We hold sessions specifically aimed at pre-school children every Wednesday and Thursday afternoon at 2pm in our cosy Junior Library. Come along and join us. It costs just 50p to cover materials.

Older siblings and friends are also welcome during school holidays, such as October Half Term, when the variety of activities will be targeted at children of all ages.

Plus (breaking news), from November 1st … Tottington Tea Rooms will be open all day for breakfast, a delicious lunch, a drink and a snack or for afternoon tea and a yummy homemade cake!

There’s lots going on at The Tottington Centre for adults:

  • Afternoon Book Club – Mondays 4.15 – 5.15pm (monthly – run by Sue)
  • Morning Book Club – Tuesdays 10.30 – 11.30am (monthly – run by Julie)
  • Grandad’s Gathering/Coffee Morning – Tuesdays 10am (1st and 3rd Tuesday of the month – run by Mike)
  • Library Philosophy Group – Tuesdays 2.30 – 3.30pm – run by Anne

Lots of other groups also meet in the community rooms – new groups starting in September

Plus, why not drop in on a Friday morning to read the papers and have a chat. Daily paper available every day. cafe opening soon.

It may be back to school this week but there’s lots still going on at The Tottington Centre for children and young people of all ages:

  • After School Activities – EVERY NIGHT after school 4 – 5 pm
  • Lego Club – Friday nights 4 – 5 pm
  • Saturday Club (Board games and crafts) – 10 – 12 noon
  • Pre-school Storytime and Activities – Thursday 2 – 3pm

There are pirates down at The Tottington Centre all this week!! Why not come along to one of our activity and story sessions. Look out for the treasure & make a treasure map – don’t forget the parrots and the pirate ships. All week long it’s pirate games, pirate crafts and …. we have our very own treasure chest.
