Is your child lacking in confidence in reading?
Teddy the 5 year old Rescue Collie adores listening to children read and is a specially trained therapy dog.
Parents or carers of any child, of reading age, who is either very shy or has difficulties with reading, can contact Stacey to discuss how Teddy can help: 07968 971 281
Teddy will be visiting Tottington Library on the following Monday afternoons in January from 4–5pm: Monday 13th, 20th and 27th January 2020
If there is demand this will become a regular after school reading session and other times may also be available by arrangement with Stacey and Teddy.
Thanks to your very generous donations of perfect quality, pre-loved books, we have put over 450 new titles into stock in the last 12 weeks..
Please keep your donations coming.
We make use every single book donated (adult and children’s). Some are put into stock, some are put aside for our huge, twice a year Mega Book Sale or are sold in our Tea Room Book Shop, and some are recycled.
Every single one helps us to raise much needed funds to keep the library open or helps to improve our book stock.
Thank you for your support.
This week we welcomed to The Tottington Centre, Chris Farey, the Head of Salford Library Service and Naomi Lewis, the Manager of the Children’s and Schools library Team.
They were keen to hear all about how the Centre had developed a large number of thriving Activity and Group sessions run by volunteers and all about how the Community has come together to make the Centre into a Community Hub with something for everyone.
News of our achievements here in Tottington are spreading far and wide.
The Tottington Centre would like to thank the National Lottery Community Fund for their very generous grant of £8,600 to upgrade our computer equipment for the benefit of the residents of Tottington Village.
More than £58million of #NationalLottery funding has just been shared between 1,600 projects in England.
This money raised by National Lottery players will support community–led projects, including those run for or by young people, empowering them to take the lead on things that are important to them and their communities.
We have everything you need to help you to revise for your exams:
PLUS!!
You are always welcome – please come and make use of this fantastic facility for the whole community
Once your exams are over feel free to donate your study guides to us for next years students. Then kick back with some great books to read over the summer for FREE
